Questions about Doctora and CrystalPM.
Does the doctor confirm every field before it goes into CrystalPM?
Yes. Doctora drafts the chart and the codes, and the doctor reviews and confirms every field before anything is written into CrystalPM.
What does Doctora write into CrystalPM?
The exam, section by section: chief complaint, history, entrance acuity, pupils, eom, fields, refraction, tonometry, slit lamp, dilation, fundus, contact lens fit and assessment and plan. Fields that belong to one eye are written to that eye, and the ICD-10 and CPT codes the doctor confirmed are attached to the chart.
Does it change how the tech pretests?
No. Techs keep pretesting the way they do now. Doctora adds to the chart in CrystalPM rather than replacing what the tech entered.
Is Doctora HIPAA compliant, and do you sign a BAA?
Yes. Doctora is HIPAA compliant and signs a Business Associate Agreement with each practice.
Can I use Doctora at locations that run different EHRs?
Yes. Each location uses Doctora with the EHR it runs, and every chart is written into that location's own EHR. Doctora writes the exam into six optometry EHRs: RevolutionEHR, CrystalPM, Eyefinity, OfficeMate, Eye Cloud Pro and Uprise.
Will Doctora overwrite what my techs already entered?
No. Doctora merges its output into your CrystalPM chart, tech-entered vitals, pre-tests, and history are preserved. The AI writes its sections without touching the rest of the record.
Run a different EHR?
Doctora adds EHRs based on what practices ask for. Tell us which one you use and we will be in touch.
We also hear from practices on: Practice Mate, Compulink, MaximEyes, Nextech, Epic, Optomate, My Vision Express, DrChrono, Foxfire, LiquidEHR, ODLink, NextGen, Barti, RevolutionEHR Canada, CPRS (VA), VisualEyes.
